Adaptive Sport Fund Grants

Kelly Brush Foundation Accepting Spring 2019 Active Fund Applications

The Kelly Brush Foundation is accepting applications for Spring 2019 Active Fund grants until March 17. The Active Fund helps people with spinal cord injuries purchase the adaptive sports equipment they need to enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of an active lifestyle.

Over 740 people in 47 states have received Active Fund grants from the Kelly Brush Foundation. The most commonly requested adaptive equipment grants are for handcycles, monoskis, off-road handcycles, racing chairs, rugby chairs, basketball chairs, hockey sleds, tennis chairs, and WCMX chairs.

“We started the Active Fund because adaptive sports equipment is often highly specialized and prohibitively expensive”, said founder Kelly Brush. “The Kelly Brush Foundation is committed to helping people with spinal cord injuries build community and find independence through sports.”

Anyone living in the United States with a spinal cord injury is eligible to apply for an Active Fund grant. The full guidelines and online application can be found at:
